Welcome lovely September.
You sweet lusty tramp of summer
some days so hot others sweater cool.
bring me a wonderful new nephew
cool breezy mornings in the garden,
children full of school and new ideas,
new shoes and at least one new sweater
Fall is coming.
Make me a pot pie and a glass of vino
a day knitting in the sun
children in other worldly sweaters.
Yes come fall and wash away the bugs
so we can open our windows and clear out
the stale summer air.
I am ready come fall come!
