Day with Mud

There are some dreams so deeply buried we are unaware of them, until the tides churns them up.  Some emotions catch us us so off guard we can not believe we had not always known they were there. I have been awash in  emotions today. Everyone I have spoken with has wept, cheered, sat in awe and hope. It is as though the country has exploded in a joyous chorus of things so long unsaid.  What we have all hoped to be, what we have always known was in us.  We have all prayed in some way for someone to come and give us the gift of our true selves.

 A crowd at the National Mall showed us today our voice is strong. 

We are one people.  We are America.

Today we have been called to action. Are we willing to make the sacrifice? Are we ready for the challenge? Do we have the curiosity? Can WE change? Two small children will be very publicly watching to see if we hold up our end of this agreement.  They have loaned us their father for the next four years. I pray we don't let them down.

from bigotry and hate-
